What is the MPF programme?

Mamma Pro Fit uses a combination of specialist exercise techniques to suit any mamma, over 12 weeks in 3 specific & progressive phases.

Physiotherapy led MPF is developed to help with: 

Postnatal recovery
Recovering post baby needs a little TLC & expert knowledge to get you back to full strength & beyond.
Diastasis Recti
The separation of your abdominal muscles & weakness of your Linea Alba – evidence shows that most women have some degree of Diastasis Recti in their final trimester!
Strengthening your core & pelvic floor
No matter how long postpartum you are – your core needs help to heal to prevent dysfunction & other joint issues. It’s never too late to heal your core & associated dysfunction! You don’t have to be a mamma to heal your core! 
Mamma Pooch
A Diastasis Recti causes a mamma pooch, alongside core dysfunction and weakness! 
Improving abdominal definition
Scientific & specific Diastasis Recti safe core exercises to define your core and help flatten your stomach – you won’t find any crunches here! 
Back pain & other joint issues
Back pain has multiple causes – but one of the main ones can be a dysfunctional core & pelvic floor, a weakened core & pelvic floor can also contribute to other joint issues that can also be affected from postural changes due to back pain! The human body is complicated & all parts are connected! 
Incontinence
Those accidental leaks are common but NOT NORMAL & certainly not fun. Our programme works to fix this for you! 
Posture
Poor posture is prevalent after a baby – you just spent 9 months changing your centre of gravity & holding a lot of weight anteriorly – which can weaken your core! This combined with breast or bottle feeding your baby can cause upper back pain, rounded shoulders and poor posture. C-Section Mammas may also struggle to stand tall due to pain & scar tightness.  
Confidence
You matter! Your body matters! You deserve to be confident after your baby & you shouldn’t accept any less. Reduced confidence after a baby can affect your mood, what you wear, your sex life & your relationships. Let us help you to feel happy with your amazing body!  
C-Section Mammas
We will teach you scar massage to, reduce scar sensitivity, improve your scar condition, mobility, & scar appearance, it will also help to reduce any scar overhang. Our guide will provide information on what your body went through & how to recover & re-engage your core muscles and transverse abdominals, which are affected by a C-Section. 
Vaginal birth Mammas
The pressure your core & pelvic floor just went through to birth your baby was amazing but huge – not to mention if you had any trauma or tears to the pelvic floor, which will weaken it. MPF will help to strengthen & recover your core – our Hypertonic Pelvic Floor guide will make sure you do this correctly.
